School Profile


Columbia School has adopted a theme of “Hands, Hearts and Minds” and is involved in a number of community service projects. Columbia was named a California Distinguished School in 1997, 2002 and 2008 by the California State Department of Education.

The school enjoys strong parent and community support. The Columbia Parent Club, School Site Council, and Principal’s Advisory meet regularly to plan, discuss site issues and implement projects beneficial to the school. There is extensive use of community resources in support of the educational program.
